We are a certified Nu-Wool installer of Nu-Wool insulating products in both open and closed spaces.

American Insulating installs cellulose and spray foam insulation in residential and commercial construction. We also retrofit existing homes with insulation to make them more energy efficient and less expensive to heat and cool.

We are a certified Nu-Wool installer of Nu-Wool insulating products in both open and closed spaces. Nu-Wool is a local insulation manufacturer operating in Jenison, Michigan. As a locally owned and operated business, American Insulating is happy to source our insulation from within our own West Michigan community.

Our trained and certified technicians assess each customer’s space to determine which kind of insulation would be the best solution. We primarily work with two types of insulation:

Nu-Wool Cellulose Insulation

This type of insulation is installed in walls, attics, and floors of both new and existing buildings. When cellulose insulation is installed, it creates a seamless bond. There are no voids or air pockets as with other kinds of insulating materials. This prevents air from escaping through small cracks or holes.

Cellulose insulation also provides sound-dampening effects and fire protection which is very useful for buildings like apartments, condominiums, and offices. After they’ve been insulated, they have a noticeably quieter quality. This makes for a more private and enjoyable living space.

Cellulose is also competitively priced and an environmentally friendly choice as it’s made of 100% recycled paper remanufactured for a new purpose. This manufacturing process uses 10 times less energy than fiberglass manufacturing.

Nu-Seal Polyurethane Spray Foam

Polyurethane spray foam insulation is another excellent green insulation solution composed of high bio-based raw materials. It’s available in both closed and open cell at a variety of different densities. Spray foam can be used in many different applications, from commercial to residential and even in agricultural structures.

When it’s applied, spray foam expands and sticks firmly to any surface. This almost eliminates the possibility of voids or shifting or settling later. Spray foam stays where you spray it and stops air leaks completely.
